These works deal with information systems; in the forms of documenting and archiving. Surveillance as a form of documention and a gathering of information is seen in the works by Jeroen Kooijmans and Bart Djikman. Kurt D’Haeseleer and reMi both reference technology directly as information systems; with D’ Haeseleer including surveillance aesthetics as well as digital sounds (such as mobile phone beeps) and reMi referencing design as an information system unto itself. Seoungho Cho uses the barcode as a poetic device to discuss how we gather information in present society. Caspar Stracke documents and archives footage from New York to create an essay on our movement through a city and how we come to understand it physically and through our experiences with it through film.-lhb
